- DAY 1: Departure out of Dallas (DFW) at 2PM. Arrival to San Salvador city at 6PM. Welcome dinner. Night in city Hotel
- DAY 2: Departure to Jiquilisco Bay, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. We will visit a community of spider monkeys with whom you will be able to take interesting pictures. Then we will continue to El Icacal (desolated beach). You will be received by children who attend El Icacal rural school. You will have several activities with the kids (sports, computer classes, etc.) You will share lunch with the kids. In the afternoon, a boat tour through mangroves where you will see a variety of birds. At night, you will enjoy a dinner right at the beach, followed by a movie along with the kids. Spend the night in El Icacal.
- DAY 3: Sports tournament (soccer and softball). Lunch. Afternoon: Depart to La Libertad to a beach front hotel with an amazing salt water swimming pool!
- DAY 4: Indigo is a natural colorant extracted from the jiquilte plant. It was an important economical product for the Mayans. You will learn the production process and will be able to design your own T-Shirt. Later, you will visit San Salvador Volcano where you will stand right at the crater and have amazing views of San Salvador City. Late afternoon you will enjoy free time in the city. Night in city Hotel
- DAY 5: Depart to Volcanoes National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere reserve. You will be received by children of a rural school located in the middle of three volcanoes. You will enjoy different activities with the kids. Visit Cerro Verde National Park and enjoy amazing views. We will hike Santa Ana Volcano en enjoy spectacular views of other surrounding volcanoes, a lake and the Pacific Ocean. At night you will enjoy the main typical food of El Salvador. School children will join this activity. Spend the night in Cerro Verde.
- DAY 6: In the morning we will depart to Flower Route (4 charming towns within a series of mountains filled with coffee plantations). The day is full of adventure:
- The first tour is mountain bike. The tour starts at 1,900 meters above sea level at either Laguna Verde Crater Lake or Cerro Cuyanunsul and takes you on a 23 km downhill ride all the way into Juayua, the colonial town at 900 meters above sea level. The peak is reached on horseback where the bikes and gear await you. At this point, our guide will provide helmets and explain the route. He will carry all emergency tools needed to fix any problems or flats on the way.
In the afternoon, we will experience an ATV tour. The ATV tour is an excellent, drenaline-packed tour. Ride with experienced guides and explore the whole Sierra Ilamatepeque on Bayou Kawasaki ATV´s. This tour is full of adventure and the routes are safely designed for all levels. Helmets are included. Jeans, spare cloth and boots are strongly recommended. Don’t forget your cameras as the action and views are spectacular.
Night at Portezuelo Lodge
- DAY 7: You will enjoy a coffee plantation tour and learn all the coffee production process. You will also enjoy a Canopy tour through forests and coffee plantations. The whole tour lasts about 2 hours. We will travel through 2,000 meters of cable within 14 platforms located between heights of 10 and 150 meters. Then visit Ataco town and shop for local crafts.

- DAY 8: This day we will depart to the second country in the tour: Guatemala. We will have a short tour of Guatemala City and then transfer to beautiful Antigua Guatemala, considered one of the most beautiful colonial cities in Latin America and a World Heritage Site visiting the amazing churches, charming parks and beautiful monasteries.

- DAY 9: An amazing trip to the active Pacaya Volcano. We will have a hike and be able to see the lava! Then Return to Antigua Guatemala.

- DAY 10: This day we will visit Chichicastenango, one of the richest departments and where the greatest manifestations of flora, fauna and natural and cultural vestiges heritage, as pre-Hispanic as colonials. We will visit the Central Plaza and market, where every Thursday and Sunday commercial people come down from the mountains and perform an impressive indigenous market that has changed very little through the centuries.
- We will also visit Santo Tomas Church, constructed in 1540, representing a great example of colonial architecture. Within its walls and on its outside, an interesting mix of rituals are constantly taking place.
Night at Antigua Guatemala
- DAY 11: Free morning in Antigua Guatemala. After noon, we will depart to Guatemala City.
Night at Guatemala City,
- DAY 12: Departure back to Dallas from Guatemala City Airport
